Manager of Global Recruitment for Village Capital

Kristen is the Manager of Global Recruitment for Village Capital, an entrepreneur support organization and investment fund that finds, trains and funds entrepreneurs solving global problems. Kristen oversees the sourcing, vetting and selection process of early stage, socially-oriented ventures. She also helped deliver Village Capital’s Southern Africa Education business-training program in 2014, as well as a series of education and entrepreneurship summits throughout India. In the past, Kristen has worked across the international development sector, spending time living in Ghana, South Africa and India. Most recently, she worked for the Pearson Affordable Learning Fund, where she focused on supporting early stage education ventures targeting low-income learners in emerging markets. Prior to joining the entrepreneurship world, Kristen worked with First Descents, a Colorado-based outdoor adventure therapy nonprofit empowering young adult cancer fights and survivors to surf, paddle and climb beyond their diagnosis.
 
Kristen enjoys rock climbing, traveling and snowboarding, as well as exploring the power of the human spirit in offering creative solutions to some of the world’s greatest challenges. She holds a BA in Philosophy from Colorado College.
